Gurdeep is a five and a half years old boy. The family is originally from Hoshiarpur. The child has been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease called Pulmonary Valve Stenosis. In fact, the doctors had informed the parents about his heart condition when he was born, and he had to undergo a small surgery while he was just a few days old.
Luckily, he had no symptoms. However, his health was still deteriorating, and another major surgery was needed for Gurdeep. The parents, anxious and worried, came to Delhi for his second surgery that was scheduled in AIIMS. The surgery happened in 2016 and since then, the family has been asked to constantly monitor his condition.
The family and Dr. Vikas Kohli, have been in touch for a long time and the latter, has been constantly guiding Gurdeep’s parents, Two months back, the parents were informed by Dr. Kohli about another surgery that the child would require as he has Pulmonary Valve Stenosis. The family is worried because not only is this a very challenging time for them, emotionally but financial constraints are also looming large on them.
Gurdeep’s father works in a shop in Hoshiarpur and doesn’t have the monthly income that could support the surgery with an estimated cost of Rs. 2,00,000. He has to single-handedly take care of a joint family, and the expenditure is too much for him to bear. The child needs Ballooning to be able to lead a normal life and CHF has already registered him under the HRIDAAN programme. The team sincerely urges everyone to come forward and help Gurdeep’s family raise funds for his surgery.
CHF's brave child, Gurdeep recently underwent surgery for a life-threatening disease.
