1 Year 7 Months old Sarthak Singh was born in Azamgarh, UP. When he was just 7 months old, he got pneumonia and started having shortness of breath. His mother rushed him to the nearest Govt. hospital and was informed about the Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) that he has.
His father has been working in Delhi to support his family, financially. When he heard about Sarthak’s condition, he insisted his wife to come to Delhi since he has an ESI card that could help him in the treatment. Soon, Sarthak along with his mother reached Delhi and without any delay, visited Narela ESI. The hospital referred them to Child Heart Foundation as there is an urgent need of an intervention and in ESI, the procedure would take a lot more time. When they reached CHF, Dr. Vikas Kohli diagnosed him and it was found out that he has PDA. His intervention needs PDA closure and the estimation cost is Rs. 2,00,000/- which is way beyond their financial capacity. They have approached Child Heart Foundation with a lot of hope as they are in dire need of financial assistance. With the help of our donor partner, his treatment cost was funded and he got his PDA closure was successfully done.
Now without any problem he recovered and all his pre-surgery symptoms are gone and he is growing up in good health.
