Atharv, a two-month-old, suffers from a large Ventricular septal defect (VSD) which is a heart defect due to an abnormal connection between the lower chambers of the heart. His mother, Shraddha, noticed that he had a lot of trouble breathing when Atharv was just a month old. Exasperated, they went to a doctor who diagnosed him and said he needed immediate surgery. Since the surgery would cost two to three lakhs, Atharv’s parents could not afford it. Due to this, they were referred to Dr. Vikas Kohli. He offered them a free consultation and guided them to CHF.
Atharv comes from a low-income household, and his parents cannot afford his medical expenses. They love their son dearly and request us to help them save their son’s life.
We approached our CSR partner CONCENTRIX for assistance as soon as his registration procedure was done. CONCENTRIX provided the whole funding for Atharv. We are grateful for their assistance to Atharv and their willingness to help save his life.
Atharv received his operation within one month after contacting the Child Heart Foundation. He is healing, and his parents were in tears as they saw their kid for the first time without any symptoms. They are grateful that their newborn son was saved.
