2-year-old Fatima has a twin brother. At the age of 11 months, her brother started walking but Fatima didn’t. Her mother was worried as to why hadn’t she still started walking and what could be the reason. So, they decided to take her to a local doctor and that's when they were informed about her heart problem after an echo test; she was only eleven months then.
They checked with another local doctor in Belsare Hospital but the next hospital they had gone to made them go round and round in circles. For eight whole months, they did everything they were told to do by the hospital but in the end, none of their processes was done.
So, someone then suggested to Fatima's uncle that they should go to Dr Vikas Kohli at Child Heart Foundation. Her uncle had brother had heard a lot about Dr. Vikas Kohli and had even done some research about him as well. Her mother and her uncle visited Child Heart Foundation and at once Fatima’s echo was done.
When they heard about how great the doctors were here and saw it with their own eyes, they started having hope. They had given up on any hope but seeing how nice the doctor was and also the staff’s kindness and care towards their patients gave them hope that Fatima will get well soon and recover from this condition.
Her family has organized Rs 1,00,000 but is unable to raise more so, the rest was organised by CHF with the help of our donors and she is free from heart disease and growing well.
