Kaviyansh's journey began as a delicate one. He was born with critical heart conditions, leaving his parents worried and uncertain about his future. His father, Rakesh, worked as a Security Guard in a construction site in Delhi, earning only Rs. 7,000 a month. The family's financial situation worsened, with no proper housing or means to support their medical expenses.
The family's hope was reignited when they were referred to the Child Heart Foundation by an Anganwadi in Wazirabad. Dr. Vikas Kohli, an experienced pediatric cardiac surgeon, immediately ran a few tests and diagnosed Kaviyansh with DORV, Malposed GA's, and Cor triatriatun. The foundation registered them under the Hridaan program, and Kaviyansh needed Glenn and Angiography to lead a normal life.
The family's worries and financial struggles were not overlooked by the CHF team. They were counseled and given hope, and Kaviyansh's treatment was initiated on 06/09/2021. The estimated cost of his treatment was Rs. 4,00,000, and the family needed help from the community.
Thanks to the kind-hearted donors who contributed to Kaviyansh's treatment, his family's prayers were answered. Kaviyansh underwent successful treatment, and his health has since improved. He can now lead a normal life and play with his elder sister, who he adores.
The family is grateful to the Child Heart Foundation, Dr. Vikas Kohli, and the donors who made it possible for Kaviyansh to receive timely treatment. Their son's journey towards a healthy and normal life would not have been possible without their help. Their support and generosity have made a significant difference in the family's life, and they will forever be grateful.
