Krishna 5 years was born in a small village named Bairya in Puriya District of Bihar. His father - Mithun Paswan works as a casual laborer with an annual income of Rs 80,000/-. Krishna was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot - a rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth. The detailed screening of Krishna indicated he required an emergency heart surgery named TOF Repair. The estimated cost of the treatment at AIIMS was Rs 4,00,000 and the family was unable to bear the treatment cost. Krishna through the support of Delhi South Rotary Foundation underwent a procedure named TOF Repair on the 26th of February at AIIMS. Child foundation also supported the travel, boarding, and lodging costs of Krishna and his parents under the CHF SAHYOG Program. Krishna is expected to be discharged on the 4th of March and showing steady signs of recovery. Under a unique initiative through the Make A Wish Foundation Krishna's dream of owning a bicycle was fulfilled. His father shared “ I cant wait to see Krishna fulfilling his dream of traveling to his school on this bicycle. I am grateful to everyone who supported me to get my son treated”.
