Pooja aged 18 years was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect(VSD) which is essentially a hole in the heart separating the two lower chambers of the heart. His father - Brahm Kumar worked in a small factory and was unable to afford the cost of Poojas treatment. Child Heart Foundation raised Rs 1,82,572 for her treatment. She successfully underwent her heart surgery on October 31, 2019, at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital
