Lorence / Lakshay is a three-month-old baby boy who needs immediate intervention for his health condition. The family lives in Delhi and his father, Puneet works in Sales in Chandni Chowk.
There were no symptoms when Lakshya was born. However, the signs started surfacing when he was only one month old. He had severe cough and cold, and breathlessness. The family went to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital to get him treated as his condition was not getting better.
It was this time when the doctors discovered that Lakshay has a heart problem. The parents were left dejected and disheartened, especially since he is the first child of the family. Contrary to the expectations they had for their future, they rather found themselves in a tense situation, seeing their child struggle to lead a normal life.
Lakshay was admitted to the hospital for some time and while he was getting discharged, the doctor from the hospital advised his parents to visit Dr. Vikas Kohli. They came to Child Heart Foundation and after a couple of tests, Dr. Kohli explained Lakshay’s condition to his parents. He has been diagnosed with PDA and the proposed surgery is PDA Device Closure.
His father’s monthly income is Rs. 10,000 and for him, it is impossible to contribute. Considering their financial circumstances, CHF has registered Lakshay under Hridaan.
The team has decided to help the family in raising funds since the estimated amount is Rs. 1,75,000. Immediately CHF started raising funds and within 2 months he had his PDA Device Closure surgery on 25th February, 2022. His post-surgery check-ups are good, we wish him good health and speedy recovery.
