Hanzala is just a month old, Coming from a small district Rampur, in Uttar Pradesh and has been diagnosed with Huge Outlet PM Ventricular Septal Defect.
When he was 20 days old, Laik Ahmed and Bushra (the baby’s parents) noticed he was breathing unusually. They noticed that his breathing would be irregular, sometimes heavy and other times very feeble. They rushed him to a private clinic in Moradabad. The doctor asked for several tests and after an echo, the doctor notified them of Hanzala’s heart hole.
After narrowing the problem, doctors advised the baby’s parents to get surgery as soon as possible. Troubled, as they did not have the funds to go through with the surgery, they searched the internet and located CHF. They called us for help and an appointment was scheduled. At our centre, they were provided free echo Since they were illiterate, dr. Kohli and our staff patiently explained the problem that Hanzala was facing and helped them understand the entire procedure of the surgery as well. We related to their apprehensions regarding the treatment costs. They were in the process of completing documents when suddenly the child developed a fever and terrible cough. He franticly called dr. Kohli advised them to admit the child to Apollo Hospital. On findings, it was decided to operate on the child in an emergency otherwise any delay would be fatal to his life.

And finally, the child got operated on 28th Feb. His father was grateful to the CHF staff and funders for the timely help.
