7 years old Devkant referred to CHF for screening and diagnosis to our free OPD Program. On screening he was diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defect on 26th Dec 2019. His father works as a daily wage worker in Delhi to support the expenses of the family with an annual income of Rs.80,000/-. The estimated cost of the surgery was Rs. 3,00,000. The family was not in position to bear the cost of treatment. Devkant was registered under CHF Hridaan program for financial assistance. Devkant was admitted on 22/12/2020 at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital and successfully underwent ASD Device Closure. He was discharged on 28/12/2020. The total cost of the surgery was funded by Child Heart Foundation.
