Her health issues started when she was just one and a half months old. While the family was still celebrating the arrival of a new member, she fell sick. She had a cold, cough, and fever that was not being cured despite the medicines and precautions. The family after two to three days took her to the hospital, assuming that this was nothing more than the seasonal flu. However, on their way to the hospital, Aayushi turned completely blue and was inconsolably crying and howling, so much so that she almost lost her voice for a while.

Worried and perplexed, they reached Vasundhara Hospital and consulted a doctor immediately. Later, the parents were informed that she has a hole in her heart. The family was dejected as all this while there were no symptoms or signs. They admitted her to the hospital for a couple of days where she was put on oxygen. The sight was a nightmare for the parents who were clueless and anxious.

While she was being discharged, the parents were referred to Child Heart Foundation and given assurance by the doctor that the procedure ahead could be taken care of by Dr. Vikas Kohli. They visited the center recently. Dr. Vikas Kohli after some tests very patiently counseled the parents and explained her condition to them in detail, encouraging them to not lose hope.

Her father has a monthly income of Rs. 9000, and is already burdened with family responsibilities. They are not in a condition to raise Rs. 3,50,000 which is the cost of her VSD closure surgery. Please help the family in raising funds for her daughter.
