My name is CHILD HEART FOUNDATION and I am raising funds for Ayeza. She is a six-month-old baby who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease called Pompe Disease. Her condition is critical and the proposed treatment for her illness is Enzyme Replacement Therapy that takes place only in AIIMS, Delhi. She needs to take an injection twice a month and the cost of each injection is in lakhs, making the entire treatment come around Rs. 30,00,000 annually.

Her parents are not in a position to cover even half the expenditure and yet, the treatment cannot be stopped as there is a high risk that she might lose her life. It has not been an easy journey for Ayeza as she has been struggling with health issues since she was three months old.

One day suddenly she had a severe cold, and basis a few symptoms, the family assumed it was pneumonia. Later on, after a series of trials and errors, the family was referred to Dr. Vikas Kohli, a leading pediatric cardiologist of Delhi and Founder/Trustee of Child Heart Foundation. After running a few tests, Ayeza’s Pompe Disease was finally diagnosed by Dr. Kohli, and the family had to be counselled. As much as the family was relieved to know the actual cause of her illness, they were deeply saddened to realize that it’s going to be a lifelong battle for their child.

The parents are already devastated and extremely worried as the funding for her four doses is coming to an end in December. They don’t have any other means to raise funds for her daughter’s injection, which poses a grave threat to her life. It’s a humble request to everyone to come forward and make whatever little contribution you can to save Ayeza’s life.
