Sanaya is a seventh-month-old baby who has been diagnosed with a heart condition. The news has shattered her parents completely. They have been in absolute shock, finding it difficult to come to terms with the current situation.

Sanaya is an adorable, friendly baby who is also a complete daddy’s girl. She does not let Shakir, her father, leave her side. It has been extremely difficult for Shakir as well to accept the situation and see her daughter battle for life. He is under immense pressure to arrange money as he works as a laborer and with his monthly income, it is impossible for him to pay for the treatment. Even during normal times, the family was struggling to take care of their daily expenditures. The family has already exhausted all their savings in running around, commuting, and contacting various hospitals. Finally, from Safdarjung Hospital, they were referred to Child Heart Foundation. 

The CHF team counseled the parents and informed them about Sanaya’s health condition. She has been diagnosed with Large VSD and needs VSD closure. The estimated cost of the surgery is Rs. 3,75,000. Sanaya has been registered under the Hridaan program, which provides financial assistance.
