Why we started this program?
We realized the following facts:
  • Few parents were not coming for scheduled follow ups even after our repeated reminders.
  • Few children discontinue medication after taking it for some months.

When we went deeper into the reasons and the answers shocked us, poor parents could not manage the travel expenses for follow up visits. Due to high cost of medications, on seeing their child get better after few months, the parents stop buying them as buying costly cardiac medicines for one child leads to compromising on feeding the rest of the family.

Under this program parents and caregivers of the patients are provided financial assistance for the cost incurred by them on medicines and outstation travel. The beneficiaries of this program include:-
  • Single mothers
  • Parents with disability
  • Patients from remote locations of the country bearing huge cost on outstation travel
